Rainoil Tennis Open: Imeh Seeks Revenge Against Atseye In Epic Finale

Nigeria’s number one male tennis player, Joseph Imeh, will be seeking revenge against Henry Atseye when the pair square up in a second consecutive final of the Rainoil Open Tennis Championship.
Atseye had defeated Imeh in the 2017 Men’s Singles final which the Davis Cup Star was within minutes of winning. Imeh has since not been able to win any national competition.
After the Rainoil tournament, the man popularly called Fargo was a finalist at the Dala Hard Court tournament where he lost to Thomas Otu and has been unable to win a major national finale ever since.
Henry Atseye comes up against Joseph Imeh in an entertaining finale.
Atseye had to get the better of a determined Sylvester Emmanuel in the final set in a 4-6, 61, 7-5 game to berth in his second consecutive Rainoil Tennis finals while Imeh was also made to wait for his victory.
He defeated Uche Oparaoji in two difficult sets of 7-6 (2), 6-1, as he looks at winning his first ever national tournament.
Tennis observers have named Imeh Nigeria’s most in form player based on results and performance, and he will seek to justify that tag with the match against Atseye, another solid Nigerian star.
Nigerian Tennis Live will be on ground to report moments from the match which promises to be explosive.
