Our correspondent gathered that the tournament which holds in February will also serve as the qualification championship for the World Team Cup holding later in the year.
This much was disclosed by Coach Frank Termena, the national wheelchair tennis coach, in a brief chat with Nigeria Tennis Live.
The much traveled and highly experienced tennis coach noted that there will be trials for the players who will be taken to Kenya for the tournament from which two men and women will make the final cut.
“We shall soon commence preparations for the Africa Nations Cup with the wheelchair tennis players as we want to give a good account of ourselves at the championship.
“You know the tournament also serves as the qualifying series for the World Team Cup taking place in Israel some time in April, so we are going to give it our best shot,” Coach Frank told Nigeria Tennis Live.
When asked which African countries would be represented at the championship, the athletic coach stated that all African countries with wheelchair tennis teams will be present at the competition.
