Rainoil Tennis Open: Imeh Begins Title Defense, Quest To Wrestle No. 1 Spot From Sylvester

The former Nigerian number one is the only player in this year’s competition to have played in final of the editions of the tournament since inception, the other being Henry Atseye, and seems to be much acquainted with the clay court.

Even though he’s not particularly had a great year on the tennis circuit, Imeh will be capitalizing on recent form to scale through the hurdles of the Rainoil Open tournament.

Sylvester on the other hand, will be hoping to consolidate on his current ranking when he also starts his campaign in the competition this year, as he’ll look forward to breaking the jinx of dropping before the final.

Imeh takes on Pius Lawrence in the second match on court four while Sylvester will trade tackles against Paul Linus in the second match on court three.
