Vemp Open: How Stainless Oyinlomo Outshined Legendary Agugbom To Win 4th Consecutive National Title

In a well orchestrated match inside the tennis section of the National Stadium, Abuja, unbeatable Oyinlomo Quadre crushed senior player, Christie Agugbom, to win her fourth consecutive national title at the Vemp National Open.

Quadre won in two unrivaled sets of 6-1, 6-0 against her experienced opponent to become the first Nigerian to win all national competitions in a tennis season.

Prior to the match, Agugbom had shown flashes of her brilliance as she powered into the her second consecutive finals in the national championships.

But Quadre, the number four African female junior tennis star, had other plans, and showed why she remains the unrivaled queen of Nigerian female tennis.

With this win, the youngster has ended an unbelievably amazing and unprecedented tennis year.

She has also solidified her place as Nigeria’s best player on the circuit, both local and international, and will look at having a much better 2020 ahead.
