    Rose Plans Revenge Against Mofifun In Lagos Schools’ Tennis Competition Double Final

    Spectators at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan, Lagos, are assured of unparalleled fireworks when the final of the Lagos Schools’ Tennis Competition climaxes.

    The four-day event has been an amazing experience for spectators at the competition sponsored by the Allison & Oluremi Ayida Foundation for children and young adults.

    Top Nigerian youngsters, Mofifunoluwa Atilola and Roseline Nana will lighten up the courts when they play in the girls U-10 & U-14 finals, a repetition of their clash at the recently held FAAN Junior Tennis Championship in Ikeja, Lagos.

    Among other youngsters who are playing in two different categories at this year’s competition, Mofifun and Rose have been the standout players and Nigerian tennis followers and observers would not have been surprised by their performance and appearance in two finals.

    In the boys’ U-10 final, Mohamed Okandeji will try to out play Michael Osagie while David Edwards, younger brother of Nigerian number one female tennis player, Marylove Edwards, will have his hands full when he takes on Onyekachi Ogumjiofor from Oyo State in the boys’ U-14 finale.

    2021 National Youth Games medalist, Blessing Otu will square up against Destiny Okhinaye in an epic girls’ U-18 final while Ajao Basit will battle Taofik Mogaji for the boys’ 18 title.

    This competition, held as part of the activities to launch the Allison Ayida Pavilion inside the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, was attended by a minimum of 200 players polled from across Lagos State and beyond.

    Organizers of this competition have confirmed that matches will start by 10am on Sunday morning and prizes will be given to the winners as the curtain will be drawn on the tournament in Lagos.
