FIU told Nigeria Tennis Live that “The NCAA holds an individual tournament for the top 64 players and a double tournament for the top 32 pairs following the actual team championships.
“Oyin will be in both of those and yes she is the lone representative from FIU and our conference. It is a big accomplishment, yes.
“She is now (ranked) 48, and her and her doubles partner are ranked 56.”
Speaking about the latest development, the former Nigerian number one female tennis player noted that it had always been her dream since the start of the tennis season.

And that she was extremely excited to have been included in the NCAA Singles and Doubles which came, apparently from her high rankings.
“It feels really good, it was one of my goals before the year started and it’s really amazing for me to watch it coming to reality. I am like “wow I spoke about this 8 months ago with my coach and it’s happening now“.
“Yes it’s my first time, and it is because of my ranking. Last year, I was a freshman and only got my ranking post season so it didn’t count for the NCAA,” Quadre told Nigeria Tennis Live from her base in the US.
Quadre will be participating in the NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship Singles in Stillwater, OK from 20-25 May, 2024, and Nigerians will be rooting for their girl all week.
