Lagos Open: Nigeria’s Oyinlomo Dares Foreign Pros, Sets Tall Targets Ahead Of ITF World Tour Event
Ahead of the fast approaching Lagos Open International Tennis Championships, Nigeria’s Oyinlomo Quadre has revealed how much she’s prepared and is hoping to have an amazing competition.
Quadre who recently moved 17 places to rank 211 in the world junior rankings, has had an amazing tennis year in the juniors so far, capping it with impressive national title honours and African Games medals.
She told Nigeria Tennis Live exclusively that she believes that the competition will be stiff when hostilities begin at the 2019 edition of the Lagos Open tournament, but it will not stop her from achieving her target.
The high-spirited youngster noted that she hopes to go past her previous targets and work really hard to get into the quarterfinal stage of the competition.
When asked how she’s preparing for the competition, she said: “Well I try to prepare the same way I always do and I also try to prepare mentally because I have big targets this year.
“I did second round last year and I am hoping to play some better matches this year and hopefully play in the quarterfinal stage.
“Although I could do better, but I just want to get better as each year passes.
“I am very prepared for this tournament and I am planning to keep the same form until I achieve my target.”
