Fu Wang Choi, the number one junior tennis player in Hong Kong, has spoken glowingly about Sani Yahaya Inabo, whom he lost to in their R16 match at the ongoing J30 event in Abuja.

The player from Hong Kong played a final set match against the Mambilla Barracks Tennis Club player, and was magnanimous in defeat.

He told Nigeria Tennis Live what he learnt from his opponent, especially since this was his first ever ITF event since he turned 13.

The finalist at the 2023 U-12 Orange Bowl event in the USA said: “The weather was very hot and this is not what I am used to, but I kept trying my best.

“This was also my first ITF tournament and I could see that it is different from what I am used to in Hong Kong.”

On what he learnt from his opponent during the match Fu Wang said: “He was very stable, very fit and mentally strong too.

“I’d love to play against him again, maybe I can beat him this time around”.
