HST Academy Set For 2nd Inter-School Tennis Championship
The HST Tennis Academy has concluded plans to host its second annual inter-school tennis championship after a successful first edition in 2023.
The Academy in conjunction with the Italian International School, Lekki, Lagos, hosted over 100 kids in November, 2023, to an invitational junior tennis tournament for private schools within Lagos State.
And riding on the success of that colourful event which was attended by parents and other tennis stakeholders in Nigeria, the academy has announced the second edition of the tournament.

Coaches Henry Shedrack and Benson Ishicheli, proprietors of the Academy, noted that the success of the first edition is the driving factor behind the second edition and that this year’s competition will be a bit different.
They told Nigeria Tennis Live that “when people came around last year, they were really impressed with the facilities that they met on ground at the Italian International School, and we had a few discussions which is why we’re adding some twists to this year’s event.
“Asides the tennis competition, we shall also be having an inter-school football and swimming competition for the kids who are interested in those sports.
“This is our way of engaging the kids who come around and are talented in other sports, especially because people also liked what they saw and want to participate as well and some parents of these kids who were not invited want to now bring their kids to participate”.

The former Club Captain at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club informed that over 300 kids are being expected for the event slated for Saturday, 22 November, 2024 inside the sporting arena of the Italian International School, Lekki, Lagos.
