Africa’s number one U-14 player, Oluwaseun Ogunsakin, is set to make his Orange Bowl debut in Miami, Nigeria Tennis Live has gathered.
The Nigerian teenager who has been in the United States for a while now, is scheduled to participate in the Main Draw of the junior tennis event which attracts all the best junior players from across the globe.
According to Nigeria Tennis Live checks, the Nigerian youngster is billed to play against Mason Vaughn, the tournament’s number nine seed.
As at the time this report was compiled, it was gathered that the dates and time for matches could not be ascertained by the organizers of the event as it has been raining consistently in Miami.

Reports from the city also have it that the preliminary matches to qualify for the Main Draw of the event are yet to be concluded owing to the incessant rainfall being experienced.
Despite the delays and the hiccups, however, the talented Nigerian player has expressed his readiness to compete at the event.
“I am very happy, excited and prepared for this competition. I am excited because it is a very big competition with many top junior players,” an enthusiastic Ogunsakin told Nigeria Tennis Live.
On his chances against his opponent according to the draw, he noted that he had not met the player before and does not even physically know him, but that he would be more than happy to compete against him.

“If I was not ready to participate and do well in the competition, I would not have come here. I always play in tournaments because I believe I can do well, and that’s what I also believe about this tournament,” the Tunisia-based youngster noted further.
