Seun Ogunsakin Wins First Ever Match At Eddie Herr Championships

Nigeria’s Seun Ogunsakin has won his first ever match at the Eddie Herr International Championships in the United States of America.

The African U-14 number one player who touched down in the Untied States over the weekend, played his first match against Dhakshish Aryan from India, and showed exactly why he has been unbeatable as Africa’s number one U-14 Junior player.

Ogunsakin, who recently won the African U-14 Masters in Morocco by crushing all his opponents from other parts of Africa, ensured he started the Eddie Herr competition on a winning note.

He won the match 7-6(6), 6-3 to set up a second round encounter with Navneet Raghuram, the tournament’s number five seed and another Indian player.

Ogunsakin’s second round match against one of the Eddie Herr competition’s top seeds will be the litmus test for the Nigerian teenager who was also recently on a tour of Europe following his exploits on the African continent.

Nigerians will be buzzing for their star boy, whom a Zimbabwean Coach who watched him closely likened to Rafael Nadal in a particular style of play that he has.
