CBN Open: Wild Card Oyinlomo In Epic Battle Against No 1 Seed For Semis Spot
The tennis section of the National Stadium, Abuja will experience an epic tennis battle as Nigeria’s teenage sensation, Oyinlomo Quadre battles Blessing Samuel, the number one seed at the ongoing Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Senior Tennis Championship.
Quadre, ranked 173 in the world and number two in Africa, is playing her first ever Semis at the CBN Senior Open having first conquered the world of Junior tennis in recent weeks.
She takes on Samuel, a vastly experienced and former national champion, who recently won Silver for Nigeria at the just concluded Africa Beach Games in Cape Verde.
While Quadre has been in killer mood all week long, especially upsetting the tournament’a number eight seed, Samuel will be banking on her experience and her knowledge of the game to override the youngster.
Tennis followers are sure in for a swell time today as the match is the talk of the town already, especially since Quadre has never come this far in the competition before.
Nigeria Tennis Live will closely monitor the match and report to our teeming followers as the competition progresses.
