Ikenna Okonkwo and Success Ogunjobi have cracked the top 10 and 20 of the Boys and Girls’ World Tennis Rankings respectively, Nigeria Tennis Live can report.
Okonkwo won his 14th Doubles title last week after partnering India’s Dev Vipul Patel to defeat the Indian pair of Samarth Sahita and Praneel Sharma 3-6, 7-6(2), 10-7 at the J100 Harare World Tennis Juniors event in Zimbabwe.

In the latest rankings released by the World Tennis on Monday, 10 August, 2026, the Aurum Tennis Academy sensational tennis player who also reached the semis of the Boys’ Singles event in Harare, hit his highest ever rankings as he is now ranked 172nd in the world and within the top 10 in Africa.
After moving 14 places in the new edition of the rankings, Okonkwo is now the 8th highest-ranked African junior tennis player in the world, sitting only five spots behind Grand Slam player, Seun Ogunsakin.
Only Seyi Ogunsakin, ranked 972nd globally, is the other Nigerian player (47th) in the top 50 Africans in the global tennis rankings.

In the female category, Ogunjobi’s J100 Doubles win in Harare shot her rankings up from her initial spot, and took her further upwards in the African ratings.
The Ekiti-born youngster, who helped Nigeria gain promotion to the Europe/Africa Group II at the Billie Jean King Cup Africa Group III Qualifier in Botswana a few weeks ago, is now ranked 499th in the world and 18th in Africa, sitting just six spots behind Ohunene Yakubu, Nigeria’s highest-ranked female tennis player in the world rankings.
Ogunjobi, another player within the ranks of the Aurum Tennis Academy, has now won eight Doubles titles in her career and she looks set to cop even more titles in the coming weeks as she continues with her tennis development across the globe.
