Organizers of the annual Adewale Isa National Junior Tennis Tournament have opened registration for the 7th edition of the event.
The Adewale Isa tournament is the flagship event of the Adewale Isa Foundation, which is often described as one of Nigeria’s biggest national junior tennis tournaments.
Mr. Nurudeen Isa, one of the Directors at the Foundation, informed Nigeria Tennis Live that boys and girls U-12, 14 & players across Nigeria can now register to compete in the elite national junior tennis championship which gives prizes worth millions of naira to winners across different age categories.

In a memo also sent to State tennis associations, the Foundation informed that each participating State is expected to register six players, three boys and three girls, whom the Foundation will cater to in terms of accommodation and feeding.
“Each State is required to nominate the following players: 1 Boy (U-12), 1 Girl (U-12), 1 Boy (U-14), 1 Girl (U-14), 1 Boy (U-16), 1 Girl (U-16), this makes a total of six (6) players per State, whose participation, including approved expenses, will be catered for by the organizers.
“Please note: Any additional player (s) entered by a State beyond the approved six (6) will be the financial responsibility of the respective State,” the memo read.

“Players from other States and Clubs are also welcome to participate in the tournament, but please note that only six participants per state or club will receive accommodations.
“Lagos State players, however, are not eligible for accommodation and will only receive lunch. Other States can bring more players but only six will be accommodated and fed by the Foundation,” Mr. Nurudeen Isa further stated.
The organizers informed that registration should be completed and submitted on or before 25 August, 2026 to bitrusdanjuma@yahoo.com.
The Adewale Isa Foundation gives tennis equipment worth millions of naira to winners, finalists and consolation winners at the end of the competition which holds inside the tennis section of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
