Nigeria’s Sylvester Emmanuel is just a match away from landing in the final of the Men’s Doubles final event at the ongoing Tombim Abuja Open, Naija Tennis Special can authoritatively confirm.

The Barcelona, Spain-based tennis star was dumped out of the Singles event in the first round, but he has continued to show why is Nigeria’s hottest property at the moment by forging ahead in the doubles event with his Australian partner, Mark Verryth.

They will be playing against the pair of Alessandro Bega and Victor Durasovic from Italy and Norway respectively, who themselves, upset the tournament’s number three seed in the doubles; Adrian Andrzejczuk and Mateusz Smolicki both from Poland.

Clifford Enosoregbe and Henry Atseye, the other Nigerians in the doubles, will know their fate this morning when they resume their doubles match which was interrupted yesterday.

Nigerian players in Abuja will now start top gear preparations ahead of the F2 which will be kicking off next week Monday after most of them were bundled out of the first leg of the Futures in the second round.
