Sports Ministry Fixes Date For 2024 National Youth Games

The National Council on Sports has fixed a date for the 2024 edition of the National Youth Games, Nigeria Tennis Live can report.

The event which is an annual event is held to promote youths and sports activities and help nurture future talents for various sports across the country.

It is the youth version of the National Sports Festival which boasts some of the best athletes in different sports across all the States of the federation.

And after a National Council on Sports meeting held in Enugu State on Wednesday, the Ministry of Sports issued a communique, which contains the date for the 2024 edition of the tournament.

Nigeria Tennis Live checks revealed that the National Youth Games will be held from 10-20 September, 2024, in Asaba, Delta State.

The communique also revealed the new dates for the National Sports Festival, the Para Games, among others.

It read in part: “Approved September 10th – 20th, 2024, as the dates for the 8th Edition of the National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State; approved that the 3rd Edition of the National Para Games be held in the first quarter of 2025.

“Approved January 2025 as the date for the 22nd National Sports Festival activities.”

Tennis coaches and players can now start preparations towards their participation in tennis, being one of the sports which prominently features at the National Youth Games yearly.
