South Africa-based Nigerian Tennis Player To Storm Nigeria For Rainoil Tennis Championship
George Osakwe, a South Africa-based Nigerian tennis player, has made known his intentions to play in the fast approaching Rainoil Tennis Open Championship.
Osakwe who’s been training in Dubai for a while, told Nigeria Tennis Live that he shall be in the country for the national tournament even though he may have to go through the preliminary stage.
He explained that he simply felt like coming home to play the championship as well as engage in some other tennis-related activities during the same period.
Asked if he thinks he can perform well when he comes into the country for the competition, he simply replied: “time will tell.”
Speaking further on the essence of the trip, Osakwe noted that he just feels like coming home for the national tournament.
He noted further in the chat with Nigeria Tennis Live, that he has plans to travel to the UK to further continue his tennis training, hence his visit to Nigeria.
The tennis player is expected to depart the shores of the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, 26 November and touch down in Nigeria, latest on Wednesday, 27 November, ahead of the competition which kicks off with the qualifying rounds on Friday, 29.
