Mufu Atilola and Roseline Nana who played in the Girls 12 of the competition taking place at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, had easy wins against their opponents to show their seriousness about winning the competition.
Atilola from the Lagos lawn Tennis Club took full advantage of the home setting and a band of club supporters to overrun Grace Alex from Ekiti State 9-0.
Nana, a product of the Kay-Kay Tennis Academy in Lagos, played a determined match and dropped only one game against Suunter Ahenjir from Benue.
In the Boys 16, Kater Kpum from Benue outclassed Testimony Godwin 9-0 while Henry Aina from Ondo beat Mathew Osagie 9-2.
The round robin phase is expected to end on Thursday with all competitors given the opportunity to play a minimum of three matches.
The group winners go through for the semifinals.
