Damilola Agunbiade starred in one of the most interesting matches on Day 1 of the Sapetro Futures Tennis Championship in Lagos.

The Calabar-based youngster gave Nathaniel Aluko of the Lagos Country Club a fight for his money in their boys U-14 tie, even though the outcome did not reflect the intensity of the tie.

Mufu Atilola and Roseline Nana who played in the Girls 12 of the competition taking place at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, had easy wins against their opponents to show their seriousness about winning the competition.

Atilola from the Lagos lawn Tennis Club took full advantage of the home setting and a band of club supporters to overrun Grace Alex from Ekiti State 9-0.

Nana, a product of the Kay-Kay Tennis Academy in Lagos, played a determined match and dropped only one game against Suunter Ahenjir from Benue.
