Osabuohien In Semis As Abua, Akpan Fall Short In Kikuxi Tennis Open Q/final
Adesuwa Osabuohien made a little matter of her quarterfinal match at the ongoing Kikuxi Tennis Open Championship in Angola to secure a semis berth.
The WTA 1337 player was in a ‘no mercy’ form when she took the court against Catherine Ndeko from Congo Democratic Republic in their quarterfinal match.
The Nigerian Billie Jean King Cup captain dispatched her opponent 6-0, 6-1 in a quickfire match to land in the semifinals where she will be up against Yvonne Tagoe from Ghana.

Osabuohien will be the cynosure of all eyes when the semis match starts on Saturday as she is yet to drop a single set since the competition started.
In the Men’s Singles, Michael Emmanuel and Canice Abua were unable to re-enact their round robin stage form which saw them reach the next phase of the competition without stress.
While Abua was defeated 6-4, 6-1 by Paraguay’s Hernando Isnardi in the knockout stage of the event, Emmanuel reached the quarterfinal by getting a Walk Over against Diogo Alves from Portugal.
In his quarterfinal match against Congo Democratic Republic’s William Bushamuka, the Nigerian Davis Cup Star could not keep up with the heavy serve and attacking display of his opponent, as he fell to a 6-3, 6-2 loss.
