Efforts made by Engr. Ifedayo Akindoju, the President of the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF), to pursue grassroots tennis in Nigeria will definitely yield great results if the words of Prince Wale Oladunjoye are anything to go about.

The foremost grassroots advocate made this declaration during a brief chat with Nigerian Tennis Live recently, when he explained that the NTF President after three months, seems to be leading Nigeria in the right direction.

The Tournament Director of the annual ITF-certified Governor’s Cup Tennis Championship stated further that Engr. Akindoju and his board members have kicked off very well, adding that with all the plans that have been revealed so far, it will not be long before Nigeria starts producing stars that can compete anywhere in the world.

Engr. Ifedayo Akindoju seems to be moving Nigerian tennis in the right direction according to what tennis enthusiasts are saying.

“With the way they have taken off very well and going by the pursuits of the president on grassroots, the sky cannot only be the limit.

“Good talents will soon be discovered and if we can get the right support for them to be at other ITF-rated tournaments across the world, it will not be too long before we start producing world beaters,” the tennis enthusiast stated.

The Akindoju-led NTF has spent a little over three months in office but has been getting a lot of positive reviews ever since.

Nigerian tennis lovers and followers will be closely monitoring the federation and the board members to ensure that all the promises made by the tennis body are duly fulfilled.
