Budding Nigerian tennis sensation, Oyinlomo Quadri is fast becoming the toast of tennis lovers in the country with her eye-catching performances in recent years.
The 13-year-old set a new record at the ITF Under-18 Championship in Benin and Togo after winning three gold medals in the two-legged tournament.

Quadri, playing her first-ever U-18 tournament, was registered as the youngest entrant, and is now ranked 895 in the world in the new world ITF ranking released last week, having entered the tournament as an unranked player.

On her way to achieving this feat, she defeated Vania Dotse from Togo 6-0, 6-0, and walloped Marie Ange Adomon, the number eight seed from Cote D’Ivoire 6-0, 6-3 to waltz her way through to the quarter final where she proved a handful for number one seed, Jansen Figueras, beating her silly in two straight sets of 6-1, 6-3.

In the semis, the giant killer was responsible for the scalp of fellow Nigerian, Angel McCleod, beating her 6-3, 6-3, and capped an outstanding performance with a 6-2, 6-2 defeat of Carmine Becoude, the number seven seed from Benin.
She also won the doubles with her Nigerian compatriot, Toyin Asogba.
