    Lagos Stands Still As Country Club Hosts Grand Finale Of Top 16, Mixed Doubles Tournaments

    The tennis section of the Lagos Country Club, Nigeria’s premier family club, will be hosting the grand finale of her Top 16 tournament on Saturday, 7 December, 2024.

    For members of the tennis section at the Lagos Country Club, Ikeja, the finale of the Top 16 is more than just a competition, it is entirely a family affair, and that is why the tournament is such a big deal for them.

    The event which features the top 16 players on the club’s tennis ladder started on Monday, 2 December, with some interesting matchups.

    The matches start by 5pm daily and eats into the night at the tennis club which houses the only clay courts in Lagos and arguably some of the best in Nigeria.

    Nigeria Tennis Live gathered that alongside the top 16 event, the Lagos Country Club is also hosting an exciting Mixed Doubles event which features 16 players.

    The year-end Mixed Doubles event is one of the flagship tournaments of the tennis section of the Lagos Country Club, as it is always an elaborate event which has most members in attendance.

    In all, there are 16 single players for the Top 16 event while there are 16 Mixed Doubles players for the Mixed Doubles event bringing the total number of participants to 32.

    “We are a club known for bringing families together, and we have proven this time and again with the events that we host here.

    “This time around, we have decided to continue in similar fashion, and with the year-end Mixed Doubles event, there’s no telling how much fun, excitement, bonding and joy our members will experience this weekend,” Captain of the tennis section at Lagos Country Club informed our correspondent.

    Nigeria Tennis Live will be on ground to document the activities of the Grand Finale on Saturday, 7 December and share updates with our teeming audience.
