JUST IN! NTF Confirms Dates For National Tournaments
The Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF) has confirmed the dates for the first set of national tournaments in the 2024 tennis season.
Nigeria Tennis Live confirmed from the Secretary of the NTF, Makpa Aliyu, that the competition will serve off on 20 May, 2024, and run through the rest of the month.
He also noted that the national tournaments will be followed immediately by the J30 and J60 Abuja Junior ITF events which have been scheduled to hold from 3 – 16 June, 2024.

According to the NTF Chief Administrative Officer: “We will be starting with the VEMP Open then the DavNotch Open will follow before we get on with the Junior ITF events.
“You know we have the J30 and J60 events coming up as well in Abuja, from 3rd of June, so, these national tournaments will just start the season of competitions in Abuja”.
While it is not confirmed yet if Nigeria will be hosting a new tournament in the ITF Masters Tour, it has been confirmed that Nigeria will be hosting the Davis Cup World Group III Qualifier from 15 July.
While Nigeria’s female players will be at in Nairobi, Kenya, for the Billie Jean King Cup event starting from 10 June, 2024.
