Anele offered to sponsor Ikechukwu’s tennis career, providing him with the financial support he needed to pursue his dream.

“Mr. Anele’s sponsorship was a game-changer for me,” the 2024 DavNotch Open Semifinalist said.

“It allowed me to focus on my training and compete in tournaments that I wouldn’t have been able to afford otherwise. I am forever grateful for his support.”

Since then, this player has competed in numerous tournaments across Nigeria and West Africa, winning several titles and earning a reputation as one of the region’s top players.

“Tennis is not a priority sport in Nigeria,” he explained, “as a result, we don’t have the same level of support and resources as other sports like football and basketball. It can be difficult to find sponsors and funding to support our training and competition.”

Despite these challenges, however, Iloputa remains motivated and focused on his goals. He cites Rafael Nadal as his biggest inspiration, admiring the Spanish tennis star’s dedication, passion, and success on the court.

“Nadal’s career record is a constant source of motivation for me,” he said. “He is a true champion who has achieved greatness through hard work and determination. I aspire to follow in his footsteps and make a name for myself in the world of tennis.”
