Ejigbo Comes Alive For 2nd Gbolahan Odele Junior Tennis Championship

The Adejumo Tennis Sports Complex, Ejigbo will be a beehive of activities as the second edition of the Gbolahan Odele Junior Tennis Championship is set to serve off.

The talent-discovery tournament which features three age categories will serve off on Monday, 19 July and climax on Saturday, 24 August inside the massive tennis complex in Lagos.

Residents of Ejigbo in Lagos State will have an unusual opportunity of watching top class junior tennis action with players in the U-12, 14 and 16 participating in what promises to be an exciting tennis fiesta.

Nigeria Tennis Live gathered that no fewer than 120 tennis youngsters are expected to grace the second edition of the competition solely funded by Chief Gbolahan M Odele.

As at the time of filing this report, our correspondent gathered that six States (alongside Lagos) have been invited to participate in the week-long event.

“Hospitality is being provided for players and coaches coming from outside Lagos,” the organizers added in a message obtained by Nigeria Tennis Live.

Top national junior tennis champions like Mofifunoluwa Atilola, Seyi Ogunsakin, Onyekachi Ogumjiofor are expected to participate in the championship.
