    BREAKING: Nigeria’s Imeh Is First Nigerian To Qualify For Main Draw Of Tombim Abuja Open As Sylvester Waits

    Nigeria’s Joseph Imeh has qualified for the Main Draw of the Tombim Abuja Open, Nigeria Tennis Live can report.

    The Nigerian number two male tennis player who is the most placed on the ITF rankings, walked over his opponent, Rose Joshua from Britain in the second round of the qualifying series.

    With this result, the Nigerian will join others Main Draw players who have already secured their place in the $25,000+H World Tour event which kicked off on Monday, 8 April, 2019.

    Since the inception of the tournament, no Nigerian player has gone beyond the quarterfinal stage with the foreign pros dominating most of the time.

    Meanwhile, Sylvester Emmanuel will almost certainly book a place in the Main Draw when he takes on Ezeh Tochukwu Emmanuel in the second final qualifying match of the tournament.
