Nigeria’s David Ekpenyong and his doubles partner, Daniel Adeleye, are in the semis of the ongoing J100 Accra event in Ghana.
The Nigerian players will be hoping to both defeat their opponents to set up an all-Nigeria finale for the very first time in the competition.
Ekpenyong, who has had a roller-coaster season will have to be at his very best when he comes up against the tournament’s number one seed, Carel Ngounoue in a match which will test his resolve.

Recall that the Nigerian number one player, a finalist at the first leg of the J100 event, lost to Nikola Jovic after initially seeing off the Serbian youngster in the J60 final.
As things stand now, the Nigerian has to defeat his American opponent if he is to stand any chance against Jovic or set up an all-Nigeria finale in the event that Adeleye finds a way to defeat the number two seed.
Adeleye, who is in the semis of the J100 event for the first time, has been consistently grinding out results in the competition, including getting his revenge against and upsetting Debasis Sahoo (seeded four) in the quarterfinals.

The onus will be on him to repeat the spirited display that saw him edge out his more experienced Indian opponent in the quarterfinal if he must play in his first ever J100 final.
All eyes will be on the Nigerian pair who have been two of the brightest and most consistent players since the Accra Junior ITF events kicked off about six weeks ago.
And Nigerians will be really excited to see a face-off between two brothers if they manage to achieve the incredible feat of meeting each other in the final.
