    CBN Juniors: Top Seeds Cruise In Second Day Matches

    All the top seeds who featured on the second day of the ongoing Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN Junior
    Tennis Championship cruised through their matches to place themselves in pole positions to qualify for the knock out phase of the tournament.
    Gabriel Friday, the top seed in the Boys 14, beat Solomon Akinsola from Lagos 9-1, while Ekene Ezeh, the second seed from Anambra, dismissed Michael Abiloro from Lagos 9-0.
    Young Serena Teluwo is cruising at the ongoing Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN Junior Tennis Championship in Lagos
    Bright Maxwell from Port Harcourt also beat Michael Oduntan from Ogun 9-4.
    In the Boys 18, Amos Michael, the No.2 seed from Port Harcourt beat Fakoya Iyanu from Lagos 9-3 and was matched by Michael Michael from Kaduna, who also dispatched Seun Asolo 9-3.
    In the Girls 10 category, Iye Onoja from Kaduna, Favour Ijaola from Abeokuta and Mary Udofa from Kogi all won their opening matches as well.

    The championship is in the round robin phase where players get to play a minimum of three matches to decide those who go on to the knock out phase.
    Action resumes today at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan, Lagos, venue of the Championship in its ninth year as the youngsters battle for glory in the week-long event.
