Christopher Bulus from Nigeria is in the Main Draw of the Las Vegas Tennis Open, a Challenger series, currently ongoing in Las Vegas, United States of America.
The one time New Mexico Military Institute student who has been one of his institution’s shining stars in tennis, is a Wild Card entrant at the event which kicked off on Monday, 25 October, 2021.
Bulus reportedly got into the main draw based on his record as one of the top players from tennis colleges in the United States.
Nigeria Tennis Live checks on the website of the competition showed that he will be playing against Dayne Kelly, an Australian player who qualified through the preliminary rounds.
Bulus, a former Aces Tennis Academy upstart is the second African in the Las Vegas tournament as he is also joined by a South African player, Jordan Sauer.
Like the Nigerian player, Sauer is also a Wild Card entrant, and will be up against a more superior opponent in Japan’s Taro Daniel, the tournament’s number five seed.
Both African players will be cheering and rooting for each other as they star against really formidable opponents in the competition.
Nigerians from all over the world will be monitoring the match which is being played on Court 7, and which will start by 11am, American time and 7pm Nigerian time.
Nigeria Tennis Live will keep monitoring the activities of the talented player whose profile keeps rising with his scintillating performances.
