I Find Nigerian Male Players Nicer Than The Female Players – Quadre
Nigeria’s number one female tennis player, Oyinlomo Quadre, believes that male players are generally nicer than their female counterparts.
In an exclusive interview with Nigeria Tennis Live, the 2019 ‘Nigeria Slam’ winner stated that it is a general phenomenon all over the world.
The world’s top junior star also noted that she is closer to her male counterparts than her female colleagues.
“I don’t know, but I think it’s the same all over the world, that the male players are nicer than the female players,” Quadre, 17 began.
She explained further why she finds it easy to relate with the male players than with the ladies. Quadre believes that they’re really cool to relate with.
The Grade III ITF Junior Circuit winner said: “I find the male players in Nigeria nicer than the male players, but overall, they are all really cool, because in tennis, there is really nothing about the age.
“Because at the end of the day, everyone wants to win.”
“And I think everybody really knows that we’re all on the tour and we all want to win, so, everyone has (like) equal rights,” the Morocco-based super tennis player offered.
Quadre, arguably Nigeria’s best player, has been in the country for months following the coronavirus pandemic which has ravaged the world.
The youngster was billed to play several tournaments before the lockdown started, but she has since resumed training with her personal coach, Abel Ubiebi.
According to the March 2018 WTA rankings, Quadre was ranked number one in Nigeria, 9th in Africa and 945 in the world in the women’s singles category.
Presently, she ranks as the 132 best junior player in the world while occupying the 969th position in the world rankings for women.
