Pretoria J3: Quadre Outshines Algerian Player, Sets Up Q/Final Clash Against Tunisian Youngster
For the second consecutive game, Oyinlomo Quadre won her match at the ongoing Junior ITF Circuit in Pretoria, South Africa, without dropping a set.
The Morocco-based youngster advanced to the quarterfinal stage of the Grade 3 competition in Africa with a 6-2, 6-1 annihilation of Algeria’s Ines Bekrar.
Quadre, the tournament’s number two seed, looks set to increase her world ranking with the two wins which secured her a quarterfinal slot.
To qualify for the semis of the J3 which she won in Morocco last year, the Nigerian Slam winner will now face Sarah Lisa Aubertin from Tunisia on Wednesday, 5 February.
Nigerians will be rooting for the player to make the best of her current form to pick maximum points from the competition, and stand a better chance to make it to the Orange Bowl & Eddie Herr championships later this year.
As always, Nigeria Tennis Live will be monitoring the player’s progress in South Africa as she continues to impress at the junior competition which has shot her into worldwide limelight.
