Can Imeh Get His Revenge Against Major For The Vemp Open Title?
The Vemp Tennis Open Championship men’s singles final between Sylvester Emmanuel and Joseph Imeh will be another talk of the town when both players take to the court on Saturday.
Nigeria Tennis Live reports over the weeks have shown that the pair have been at the fore front of Nigeria tennis for most part of this year, in spite of their unconvincing performances on the international scene.
Between them this year, there have been three national championships, with Sylvester coming tops in two of those and missing out only on the Dala Hard Court competition which Imeh won in Kano.
If he wins the VEMP Open competition on Saturday, Sylvester would have won three out of the four national titles available in the tennis season, a feat which many believe is commensurate with the ability of the power playing superstar.
While the former Spain-based tennis player has played in all the finals of the national tournaments this year, his closest rival and Davis Cup teammate, Imeh, has only played in one less, but it is yet to be decided if the players will share the tournaments won between them – two each if Imeh wins.
With the pre-match stats and high expectations from both players, the final of the men’s singles is delicately poised to give tennis lovers and followers an entertaining finale on Saturday afternoon.
Nigeria Tennis Live will be sure to report the updates from the match which will cap off another week of intense tennis action for the national players.
