Blazing Hot Chima Vows To Stop Sylvester’s Quest For First Rainoil Tennis Open Final
In form tennis wizkid, Michael Chima, is raring to go in his semifinal clash against pre tournament favorite, Sylvester Emmanuel at the ongoing Rainoil Tennis Open Championship in Lagos.
Chima has been in an unbelievable form all week, and will cap a brilliant week with a win against the Nigerian number one in the semis which holds today at the Lagos Country Club, Ikeja.
In a brief chat with Nigeria Tennis Live before the match, the Owerri, Imo-based tennis player, who defeated the same player at the Rainoil competition in 2017, said he believes he can repeat the same feat when they play today.
“I believe,” Chima began.
“My motivation on the court is never say never, keep fighting till the end, and keep believing.
“I’ve defeated Major before (in the same Rainoil competition), and based on my current form, I believe that I can do that again,” he added.
The player who seems battle ready is also motivated by his quest for his first ever final berth in any major national tournament, having already exceeded his quarterfinal berth in previous competitions.
Asked if he thinks he can stop Sylvester from playing his first ever Rainoil Open final, Chima said: “Yes, I believe.”
The stage is now set for the player to match his words with action as the competition is barely 24 hours to its end.
