Nigerian youngsters at the ongoing ITF/CAT West & Central Africa Junior Tennis Championship in Togo are putting up impressive performances.
Nigeria Tennis Live reported that 11 Nigerian players are participating in the Boys and Girls U-14 & 16 competition which served off on Thursday, 15 January, 2026 in Lome, Togo, and of the 11 players, about four of them are already in the semis.

Our correspondent gathered that Mofifunoluwa Atilola, Nathaniel Aluko, Seyi Ogunsakin and Chukwudubem Amasiani have secured their spots in the semifinals of the point-awarding event.
Atilola reportedly defeated her opponent from Ghana 4-2, 4-0 to secure a semis berth and put herself in a good position to reach the final of the Girls’ U-14 event.

The Nigerian duo of Nathaniel Aluko and Chukwudubem Amasiani will go head to head in the Boys’ U-16 semifinal, a development which guarantees a final slot for a Nigerian player.

The Igbinovia brothers, David and Daniel, who could not advance in the Singles event, combined to produce an outstanding result against their Ivorian opponents in the Doubles event just as Atilola partnered Emmanuella Kwange to ensure Nigeria advanced in the Girls’ U-14 Doubles.
Nigeria Tennis Live gathered that the U-16 boys are not playing Doubles at the competition, and will solely focus on the Singles event where they have made significant progress so far.
