Winners have emerged in the polls to determine who gets the free rackets and tennis strings from one of Nigeria Tennis Live‘s readers from the diaspora.
This medium had put out information that a kind-hearted Nigerian living in the United Kingdom had sent in rackets and a pack of strings to be handed over to any choice player.
And in keeping up with our transparency policy, we decided to throw it open for the public to determine whom they believe is more deserving of the rackets.
After the three-day nomination process, the winners for each of the items have now emerged as collated by our correspondent.

Uche Umuchieze got an overwhelming number of nominations from the South Eastern State of Imo, but not all the nominations counted because there were some repetitions by the same nominating account.
Umuchieze’s nomination was seconded by that of Alma Mbaba, a Lagos-based junior athlete, whose people also thought was in dire need of the item.
Two players Izuchukwu Chukwuemeka and Yahaya Sani Inabo were tied in third with the least number of nominations. Inabo’s name appeared more than once, but they were repetitions from the same account and the others won’t count.
However, Izuchukwu’s nomination came in before Inabo’s which automatically puts him in a better position to receive the third item – a pack of strings, courtesy of our kind-hearted Nigerian.
The three winners – Uche Umuchieze, Alma Mbaba and Izuchukwu Chukwuemeka should kindly reach out to our correspondent via mail: @[email protected] or via WhatsApp: 08186282028 for how to claim their prizes.
Our appreciation goes out to the woman who gave out these rackets for these youngsters to have something to practice and play tennis with.
We hope to do more of these freebies giveaway at Nigeria Tennis Live so that more and more people can get the opportunity they deserve to play tennis.
