Nigeria’s wonderkid, Seun Ogunsakin, is already in the third round of the ongoing Orange Bowl Tennis Championship in Miami, Florida.

The African number one U-14 player skipped past two rounds in unbelievable fashion and has now set up a clash against the competition’s number 17 seed.

In the first round of matches, Ogunsakin was the better player when he came up against Mason Vaughn, the tournament’s number nine seed.

But his victory over the American player was only confirmed when the latter was defaulted during the match which ultimately meant that his Nigerian counterpart won.

In the second round, however, Ogunsakin proved that he had every reason to be in Miami for the competition, as he overpowered his opponent in a two long-set thriller.

The Nigerian wonderkid defeated Ross Johnson 6-4, 7-6(3), to stroll into the third round of the elite junior tennis championship where he will now play against Jan Urbanski.

A win for Ogunsakin will land him in the round 16 of the 128-draw tournament which has some of the best junior tennis talents around the world in attendance.

Nigerians will keep cheering their player up during the competition as Nigeria Tennis Live will keep up with updates on Ogunsakin’s performance in the event.
