The Tennis Players Parents Association (TPPA) has confirmed the date for the year-ending national UTR Tournament, Nigeria Tennis Live reports.

The National UTR event which is an all-expenses paid for the players who will be participating, is a culmination of the regionals hosted by the TPPA in different parts of the country a few weeks ago.

From Lagos to Ibadan to Onitsha to Akwa-Ibom to Abuja to Niger, junior tennis players participated in the competition, and the winners and the runners up will team up for the nationals in Lagos.

This information about the year-ending event was confirmed to Nigeria Tennis Live by Mrs. Jumoke Yakubu, the TPPA Secretary-General, on Wednesday morning.

She noted that: “The Tournament is confirmed for 17 December to 22 December at the Lagos Country club, Ikeja”.

“Arrival is on the 17 December, play starts on the 18 December and final on Friday 22nd December, 2023,” Mrs. Yakubu added.

On how big the event will be, she further explained that the tournament, being the first of its kind, will be mind-blowing as it will be a lot bigger than the regular UTR events.
