    BREAKING! Akindoju Emerges As CAT Zone II President Unopposed, Ndanusa Honored Too

    Engr. Dayo Akindoju, the president of the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF), has emerged as the Zone II President of the Confederation of African Tennis (CAT).

    Nigeria Tennis Live gathered that this development was confirmed at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) currently holding in Nairobi, Kenya.

    Akindoju emerged as sole contender for the Zone II presidency slot after the other contestants withdrew, leaving him as the winner unopposed.

    Our correspondent also gathered that the immediate past president of the NTF, Engr. Sani Ndanusa, who is also in Kenya, is being honored.

    He has become a honorary life Vice President of CAT at the AGM which is being attended by every member federation in Africa.

    “Sani Ndanusa will also become Honorary Life Vice President of CAT,” Engr. Akindoju told Nigeria Tennis Live from Nairobi.

    His nomination as a honorary life Vice President of CAT was approved by the general assembly and has been reportedly finalized. It happened at 11:04am.

    The NTF President also spoke on what his emergence as the Zone II CAT President will mean to Nigerian tennis.

    According to him: “We shall be at the centre of decision taking at CAT on what gets to Nigeria. Influence!”
