Nigeria’s Oyinlomo Quadre has qualified for the quarterfinal of the ongoing ITF Junior Circuit presently being played in Tunisia, after defeating Sara Akid, the tournament’s number seven seed, in two straight sets of 7-5, 6-2.

The Nigerian nightmare who has been through a few ups and downs in recent tournaments, was full of composure in her two sets triumph over the Moroccan player whom bookmakers had expected to thrash the teenager.

Quadre who is now targeting the semi final spot of the tournament, was at her very best in the quarterfinal encounter, and will be looking forward to extending her fine form to the next phase of the competition.

According to Nigeria Tennis Live findings, her next opponent, Emma Aucagne, is an unseeded youngster from France who dislodged the tournament’s number four seed and is believed to be a deadly player on her day.

But the former Aces Tennis Academy player will fancy her chances against the world’s number 540 player who recently lost a final in a Grade 4 ITF Junior Circuit in Malta, having also defeated tougher opponents on her day.

Nigeria Tennis Live will continue reporting activities from Megrine, Tunisia, where the competition for the teenagers is getting to its business end,
