Sylvester Emmanuel, winner of the inaugural edition of Vemp Open tennis Championship, is presently on his way to Tunisia, for two weeks of ITF Futures in preparation for the fast approaching Lagos Open International Tennis Championships.
The current Nigerian number two male tennis player, told Nigerian Tennis Live that he was participating in the ITF Futures in Tunisia as his way of getting set for the ITF Futures which will be hosted by the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan from 29 September – 13 October, 2018.
Sylvester who represented Nigeria at the Davis Cup tournament in Kenya a few months ago, told our correspondent on Wednesday night, that he is not stopping his training and hard work as he sets his eyes on the top prize on the circuit.

“I cannot stop training, actually. And this tournament will afford me the opportunity to play more top tennis and be prepared for the Lagos Open later this month,” the bulky player explained before traveling on Wednesday night.

Checks by Nigerian Tennis Live on ITF website revealed that the 2018 Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Open champion will be playing from the qualifying series, but he seems unperturbed by that as he wants to get better ahead of the Futures.
Recall that Sylvester, who was based in Barcelona, Spain at the last edition of the Lagos Open, could not participate in the tournament due to injury.
But he will fancy his chances of getting even further this year after hitting form in record time to be able to win back-to-back national tournaments.
Nigerian Tennis Live will monitor his progress at the ITF Circuit and report to our teeming followers how he is performing.
