Team Nigeria may have narrowly missed out on qualification for the Euro/Africa Group II of the Davis Cup after losing the promotional playoffs to Namibia on Saturday, but the players sure had a nice time in Kenya.
The Nigerian side which comprised of Abdulmumin Babalola (captain), Joseph Imeh, Christian Paul and Sylvester Emmanuel, were very outstanding in the tournament, but could not find the cutting edge to ease out the unbelievable Namibians in the second playoff.
Nigerian Tennis Live can report that for all their efforts, the players will still have to fight for promotion at the 2019 edition of the team tournament which will be another test of the country’s growth and development in tennis.
They were, however, very lively throughout their stay in Kenya as some of the candid shots taken in Nairobi prove.
