Naija Tennis Special can authoritatively report that over 20 countries from all over the world have confirmed their participation in this year’s Governor’s Cup Lagos Tennis Championship.
This much was revealed by Mrs Gloria Ekwemkpu, the secretary general of the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF) in a brief chat with our correspondent.

She noted that the NTF is fully prepared to host the tennis players from all over the world to the two-week exciting encounter at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club (LLTC), Onikan, Lagos.
“Plans are in top gear for this year’s tournament because we want to make it as great as it always is.
“I can also confirm to you that players from over twenty countries from different parts of the world for this tennis fiesta in Africa.
“It is a point-awarding event and I hope our players make the best out of it during their interaction and competition with their foreign counterparts,” she said.
Meanwhile, Nigerian players are gearing up for the ITF-rated championship with the NCC Tennis Cup finals coming up this weekend at the LLTC in Lagos.
