We Will Retain NCC League Trophy – Michael Moses Boasts

Nigeria’s number one male tennis player, Michael Moses, has bragged about his side’s chances of retaining their title which they won last year.

Moses, who is one of the main players with Team Tombim, winner of the inaugural edition of the money-spinning NCC League, told Naija Tennis Special that his team has the ability to win the trophy they won last year again.

Michael Moses believes his Tombim side will defeat debutante Offikwu in Sunday’s final.

Tombim will square up against Kaduna-based debutante, Team Offikwu, on Sunday, December 18, as the curtain falls on the league this weekend and will have to put up a spirited display to see off surprise the finalists.

“I believe we can defeat them, that is our aim,” Moses said.

“We have come this far and I am certain that we will beat them when we come up against them, that is the only aim we have since we want to retain the title,” he added.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, sports minister Solomon Dalung, are among many other guests expected to attend the finals at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Court (LLTC), Onikan, Lagos on Sunday to watch top quality tennis action.

First 50 couples to attend the tennis final will get branded umbrellas and will also participate in the raffle draw taking place at the venue of the competition.
