Youngsters Abayomi Phillips and Emmanuel Jebutu may soon be on their way out of Nigeria for a tour of Europe for about a month or more.

The junior players who are 321 & 695 players in the world junior rankings released on Monday, 13 January are billed to travel to Stavanger, Oslo and Gjovik all in Norway, as well as Friedenburg in Denmark barring the issuance of visa.

In a chat with Nigeria Tennis Live, their sponsor who prefers anonymity, noted that the players would be gone for over a month as part of the plans to help them hone their talents and aid their development.

While x-raying their performances in 2019, he noted that their year was not so bad, as the players gave all their best to achieve the little they could achieve, but he believes that they can do better in the new year.

“They are going away for a month plus,” he said.

“Stavanger, Oslo and Gjovik in Norway and Friedenburg in Denmark are the places they’d be traveling to and they’d be leaving next week.

“We are simply awaiting the issuance of the visa and every other thing will fall in place,” the sponsor added.
