Her outstanding performance for Nigeria ended with her loss in the semi final, but Oyinlomo Quadre fought on to ensure that Nigeria ended the U-16 AJC tournament with a podium place finish.

The Morocco-based Nigerian teenager was one of the most outstanding players at the tournament and shone like a star when she took to the court against her counterparts in Tunisia, but she fell short in the semi final, and had to play for position afterwards.

Nigeria Tennis Live has now gathered that the Aces Tennis Academy upstart ended the competition by defeating Morocco’s Doha Zeghlouli 5-3, 5-3 in four games after rainfall delayed the game for some time.

Quadre is one of the most sought-after teenagers in world tennis as she has repeatedly shown with her performances over the years, and which is responsible for her present scholarship to the High Performance Centre in Morocco.

She is also expected to carry Nigeria’s flag high in subsequent junior championships before she crosses the age limit where she can compete for the country in the junior cadre.
