Tunisia Futures: Sylvester Qualifies For Main Draw, Set For Second Round Berth

Sylvester Emmanuel, the Nigerian number two male tennis player, will be seeking a second round berth at the ongoing Tunisia Futures 33 in Monastir after seeing off an Italian opponent, Christian Feline, in two straight sets of 6-2, 6-1.

This win means he is playing in the main draw of the ITF Pro-circuit for the first time in two weeks, after initially suffering a knock on his ankle during the first round of qualifying matches to play in the main draw.

Sylvester Emmanuel will seek to berth in the second round of the Main Draw in their afternoon clash.

In the first round match which may kick off any moment from now, the 2018 Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Senior Tennis Open champion will come up against yet another Italian in Arnaldi Matteo.

Both players will be seeking a berth in the second round of the $15,000 tournament in Monastir, Tunisia, and the Nigerian will fancy his chances of going further in the competition.
