Nigeria’s Sylvester Emmanuel has qualified for the Qualifying Round of the Tunisia F32 Futures which is taking place in Monastir, Tunisia, Nigerian Tennis Live can authoritatively report.
The current Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Open champion had defeated an Italian in the first qualifying round to set up a meeting with Simon Musset from France in a Sunday morning crunch tie which the Nigerian won.
Nigeria’s Sylvester Emmanuel is now in the Main Draws of the ITF Futures in Monastir, Tunisia. |
Nigerian Tennis Live gathered that he played final set against the unyielding French player, but came out the better player, winning 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 as he awaits another French opponent in the final qualifying round of the tournament.
A determined Sylvester was all smiles as he told our correspondent about his readiness for the competition, noting that he hopes for the very best in the tournament as he brushes up his preparation for the Lagos Open International Tennis Championship later in September.
The last time he participated in ITF Futures was before the CBN Open in Abuja, and he and the other Nigerian stars who went on the tour gave a good account of themselves.
Nigerian Tennis Live will keep tabs with the player and inform our readers of his next opponent in the tournament ahead of the Main Draw which kicks off this week.
