Tiger Tennis Foundation: Over 150 Kids Storm Lagos For Training
Tiger Tennis Foundation is organizing an Easter Training and Tournament for kids at the National Stadium and no fewer than 150 kids are expected to participate, Nigeria Tennis Live has gathered.
Moses Paul, the founder of the Foundation told our correspondent that this has been a life-long dream of his, to gather kids and train them in the best possible way, to bring them up to speed with the latest skills in tennis.
And this Easter Holiday has provided that opportunity to finally launch out with his Tennis Foundation which he hopes to expand as the years move by.
The event is holding from Monday, 18-23 April, 2022, inside the tennis section of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, where the kids are expected to undergo trainings at different age categories for each of the days.
“I’m grateful to God that this opportunity has finally come my way, I am so delighted.
“The training and tournament are open to national players because it is an open event. We want to give everybody an opportunity to participate in the training.
“As we speak (Monday morning), over 50 children are already here, the number would have been a lot higher if not for the rainfall.
“Right now, they’re taking breakfast, and we’re giving everybody who’s here. Players, coaches, parents, everybody who’s here,” the excited top tennis coach told Nigeria Tennis Live from the Stadium where the training will start on Monday morning.
Paul, the Convener of the Tiger Tennis Foundation, is also grateful for the support he got from some Nigerians in the build up to the training and tournament.
“For breakfast today, we got some sponsorship from Funsnax, so, we were able to give some of the kids cocopops while others took bread. We had the luxury of both, and for that, I am really grateful,” he stated.
Nigeria Tennis Live will keep our followers abreast of happenings at the National Stadium as the training and tournament intensify.
