The King Is Back! Sylvester Returns To Tennis Action With Benin Tourney After Injury Layoff

Sylvester Emmanuel, Nigeria’s current number one tennis player, will stage a return to competitive tennis action after about a few weeks away from competition due to an injury he sustained prior to the commencement of the Governor’s Cup Lagos Tennis Championship in October.

The Spain-based player had breezed into the country with the hope of churning out a wonderful performance and chalking up more ITF points to further cement his place as one of Africa’s finest when he suffered the set back.

Sylvester will make his return to tennis action after some weeks on the sidelines.

But Nigerian Tennis Live can authoritatively report that the former national champion will make a return to tennis action when he travels to Benin Republic to compete in a tournament alongside three other Nigerian players on Sunday, 26 November.

Pictures and videos online have proven that the highly rated young man fondly called Major by friends and close associates has returned to full fitness after consistent hard work on and off the courts.

Nigerian Tennis Live gathered that he shall be in Benin alongside Christopher Bulus, not forgetting the duo of Sarah Adegoke and Donatus Lovett who recently from Senegal where they played from qualifiers to the first round Main Draw of the Women’s ITF Futures.

Our correspondent will monitor their performances in the neighbouring West African country and publish reports on their progress.
