Although it is an individual sport most of the time, many Nigerian players believe it is a game of love and this is one of the reasons they have continued to play the game regardless of the challenges they have faced over the years in the country.
The introduction of the NCC Tennis League in 2015 has further enabled the players to express love to one another as they travel across states and meet different people in the process.
